MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Penelope, my pug, has separation anxiety. She howls when I am gone. I know this because I have a dog camera and I can hear her and I can watch her. She spent the first two years of her life in a kennel so that is why she has the anxiety. I have tried several different things, even medication. I hate medicating her so I keep trying new products. I found this after reading some recommendations from people who have used it. I purchased it from Amazon and plugged it in as soon as I got it. I have had it about two weeks. When I first plugged it in, Penelope was very interested in the smell of it. She would walk over to it and sniff it. The first couple of days, she seemed very relaxed when sleeping.
After two weeks of using this product, I can see a SMALL difference. She doesn’t howl quite as much when I’m gone, but she does still howl some. I am going to keep using the diffuser and watch the results over the next 6 months or so. I’ll keep you updated. Also, some people have said they detect a woodsy odor. I don’t smell any odor at all from the diffuser. If anything, it smells quite pleasant in my home.
