They call these Frozen Banana treats– I found them online and tried them this last summer. My pugs loved them!!
Recipe:
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Makes: approx. 15 treats
4 cups (32 oz) plain, whole milk yogurt
2 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
3 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pour into ice cubes trays or popsicle trays. Freeze until firm. Pop the treat out and give to your dog. I usually monitor my dogs, hold it for them and don’t let them eat it too fast. Also, be sure to only give them 1 treat a day. Dogs need potassium, but not too much of it at one time. And, as a precaution, be sure to check with your vet before introducing them to new foods or treats.
Strawberry/Blueberry yogurt treats
Recipe:
Ingredients-
1/2 cup whole Blueberries
1 cup chopped Strawberries
1 cup plain, whole milk yogurt
Combine all ingredients until mixed. Pour into ice cube trays or dog molds and freeze for at least 4-5 hours before serving. (I usually buy small bone molds for my dogs because the treats are smaller- they are bite sized for my pugs).
Anyone else have any yummy treats that your pugs can’t live without??
Love and pug kisses,
Candy
