Product Review: Kong Zoom Groom Multi-Use Dog Brush Pink
This Zoom Groom Multi-Use Dog Brush came in a small compact package fully assembled. The package dimensions were: 5.51 x 4.17 x 1.18 inches and weighed 3.53 Ounces. I did not have to put anything together. It was ready to use when I took it out of the package. The brush itself is 11 x 6.5 cm and the color of the brush I received is pink.
The dog brush was purchased from Amazon for $13.70.
The Kong company claims that this product promotes healthy skin and coat and that it attracts hair like a magnet. It also claims that the brush is great for all coat types.
My Personal Experience with the Kong Zoom Groom Multi-Use Dog Brush
I received this in the mail. The package was attractive and I immediately opened it up. Penelope (my pug) was curious so I let her smell it, then started brushing her. The instructions said to brush in a circular motion so I did. Penelope enjoys being brushed with regular dog brushes, but only wants to be brushed for a minute or two. Penelope didn’t move when I started brushing her with the Zoom Groom Dog Brush and when I stopped after a couple of minutes, she nudged me so I would continue. I knew then that she liked it and it felt good to her. She has never done that with a regular dog brush.
What I like about this brush is that is loosens the hair on my pug when I brush in a circular motion. Pugs shed a lot and this definitely helps with shedding. I also really liked this brush when I gave Penelope a bath. Again, she just stood and let me massage her coat and seemed to really enjoy it. After her bath, I washed a considerable amount of hair down the drain. The Zoom Groom Dog Brush was comfortable and easy to hold in my hand while I was grooming Penelope.
NOTE: I do not have a long-haired dog, so I don’t know if this would work as well on them, but it does work well on a short-haired dog.
Another benefit of this Kong Zoom Groom Dog Brush is that it fluffed up Penelope’s fur. I brushed her fur the opposite direction and this brush really made the natural wave in her fur show up. I used it that way in both the bathtub and when I was drying her. She looked so pretty when I was finished.
Bottom Line: Positive. The product does what it says and is a cost-effective solution to dogs that shed.
