What pet owner doesn’t like to take their dog for a ride in the car?

However, sometimes that joy turns to frustration when you notice your dog’s hair is sticking to everything in your car. It sticks to the seat, it gets on the dash, it covers the floor and it even falls down between the seats in your car.

To me, when it gets between the seats, it’s the worst. I can’t seem to reach the hair and I certainly can’t fit any type of device in between the seats to remove the hair.

Here are 5 ways to remove the dog hair in your car:

Vacuum-

The easiest way to remove pet hair is simply to vacuum the hair. This works well for the floor and the seats; however, it doesn’t work so well for the small, hard-to-reach areas. I usually start with vacuuming my car to get the hair that the vacuum will pick up, then I move on to different methods to remove the rest of the hair.

Lint Roller/ Velcro hair curlers-

A lint roller or velcro hair curlers are a cheap simple way to remove dog hair. Simply take the lint roller or the curlers and roll them on the car seat or floor and the pet hairs will stick to them. The curlers work well because they don’t lose their adhesive after using so you can use time and time again. Put the velcro curler in your glove compartment and use after taking your dog in your car.

I also keep a lint roller in my car. It works well to remove hair that is not really embedded in the carpet and the seats. Roll your seats after getting out of the car. It is quick and easy.

Duct Tape-

Duct Tape woks wonderful for those hard-to-reach areas. I use this tape to reach down under my seats or in between the seats. The duct tape grabs the pet hair and even removes hair that is hard to remove with a vacuum or other means. Keep a roll of duct tape in your trunk or glove department and use often.

Fabric Softener-

Fabric Softener is a new method for me. I just started using this method. Fabric softener is made to loosen hair so it’s a great method of removing dog hair from your car. Simply, mix 2-3 teaspoons of fabric softener in a spray bottle and fill with water. Spray your car’s seats and the floor with this mixture and let sit for a few minutes. Then, wipe the seats and floor with a paper towel to loosen the hair. Once the hair is loose, just vacuum the loose hair up.

Wire Brush-

Wire Brushes are a wonderful way to remove stubborn dog hair from your car. It even works well for hard-to-reach areas. Often, using a wire brush is the last step in cleaning as it works great to remove any hair that is left over after using the other methods.
