3. What are the colors of this breed??

Pugs come in three different colors: silver or apricot-fawn with a black face mask or all black.

Fawn pugs are light tan or cream colored and have darker brown or black hairs around the face. Fawn puppies are a darker color when they are born, but they will lighten as the pups get older. Fawn puppies must have a black mask to be considered a true fawn pug puppy.

Black pug puppies are also recognized by the AKC. In order to be eligible to participate in any AKC shows, the black pug must be purely black and not have any white markings.

Apricot pugs are another variation of pug colors. They are fawn but have some reddish-brown hair throughout the coat to give the pug a slightly red color. Apricot puppies are more of a red color than fawn babies when they are born, but as they age, the red color fades to peach. The black mask must be present in apricot pugs too.
