I recently got a bed that is taller than a normal size bed. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but with a pug, it is. Molly was used to going in my bedroom when she wanted to sleep and getting on the bed- now she can’t do that. If she wants on my bed now, she stands in by it and barks at me. The barking doesn’t annoy me, but she is impatient and when she barks, she expects me to come NOW!! Plus, in her defense, pug’s should not be doing a lot of jumping- it tends to wear on their hips and they end up with hip troubles.
So… I have been looking for a solution to this problem. I googled dog steps and read extensively about the different brands and this Solvit PetSafe PupSTEP Plus Pet Stairs seems to be a great solution.

The company says it is an affordable solution to help pets reach their favorite places. They are attractive and the color and style will blend with any decor. They come in two different sizes- large and extra large. The large size steps only weigh 5 pounds and the extra large weigh 9 pounds. The large size is supposed to be able to hold a dog that weighs approximately 120 pounds and the extra large can support up to 200 pounds. The stairs come assembled and they fold down when not being used. Although these steps are made for any size dog, they recommend using them for small to medium sized pets.

SOME CONCERNS
A few people who reviewed this product said that the steps are a little too steep for a large-chested dog, but overall, the majority said that the steps are well-made, worth the price and they would highly recommend them for a small to medium sized dog.
I think I’m going to have to get this product. It would be perfect for Molly… and I wouldn’t get barked at LOL!!
